The Jonathan Webster Band was formed in the same way that a snowball is formed rolling down a hill. The name of the group could have just as easily been named " I don’t plow" which is why the lead singer’ John Erlman started performing in clubs to supplement his landscaping income rather than plow snow. So in the winter of 1993, he started securing nightclub gigs as a solo performer but grew tired of the one-man act and sought out accompaniment to perform instrumental solos. During many trips to local jam nights, in the Manchester mill district Erlman invited the saxophone stylings of Howard Fohlin whom he met and was able to perform with at several such jams. After numerous rehearsals with guitar and sax alone, the new-formed duo solicited several gigs in the southern New Hampshire region and coastal Maine. |

Selection of additional members and session players came easily as musicians began to realize the ramifications of the project they had started.
The songs on the CD project were written by John Erlman. The additional instrumentation was styled and performed by the musicians themselves
as the recordings took shape.

| STEVE KORALISHN - Lead & Backup Vocals |
Has spent the better part of the last
thirty or so years trying to make sense out of six extremely taut
steel strings stretched over bizarre electrical configurations wired
to a remote speaker box.
Having finally come to grips with most
of the various knuckle-busting chordal permutations and other 'solo'
derivations thereof, I have banned together with other like-minded
individuals to strive to create, borrow, steal, and pilfer the modern-day
sounds
that wash us all and even endeavor to earn a bit
of scratch
in the process! |
